PSYSIMS · LEGAL & POLICIES

Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated September 7, 2026

This policy explains the conduct that is not allowed when using PsySims accounts, classroom tools, uploaded resources, or Student Portal access.

Use PsySims for lawful educational purposes

PsySims may be used for teaching, learning, lesson preparation, classroom participation, and related educational workflows. You must follow applicable law, these policies, and any school or organization rules that apply to your use.

Do not bypass security or permissions

Do not probe, disable, evade, or circumvent authentication, authorization, RLS, MFA, signed-file access, Student Portal boundaries, rate limits, or other security controls. Do not attempt to access another user’s, class’s, student’s, Admin’s, or staff member’s data without authorization.

Do not misuse accounts or classroom credentials

Do not share staff credentials, impersonate another person, recycle or guess Class Codes or Student Codes, or use classroom credentials outside the class or session for which they were issued.

Do not upload harmful or unlawful material

Do not upload, link, or distribute malware, exploit code, unlawful content, material that infringes another person’s rights, or content intended to harass, threaten, exploit, or seriously harm another person.

Use student data minimally

Do not enter more student personal information than is reasonably needed for the classroom purpose. Avoid unnecessary sensitive information and follow your school, district, and applicable student-privacy requirements.

Do not disrupt the service

Do not intentionally overload, scrape at abusive scale, flood, interfere with, reverse-engineer for abuse, or otherwise use PsySims in a way that degrades availability, creates unreasonable infrastructure cost, or prevents others from using the platform normally.

Automated access

Ordinary browser automation, accessibility tools, and legitimate testing are not prohibited merely because they are automated, but automated use must not bypass security, create abusive traffic, harvest protected data, or interfere with platform operation.

Enforcement

PsySims may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect users or students, preserve security, or maintain service integrity. Where practical and appropriate, PsySims may provide notice or an opportunity to correct the issue, subject to applicable law and urgent security needs.

Reporting misuse

Suspected abuse, security problems, or harmful content can be reported through the PsySims Contact page. Do not include passwords, secret keys, or unnecessary student personal information in a report.
