Subscription, Cancellation & Refund Policy
This policy explains how PsySims paid Teacher subscriptions will renew, cancel, and handle refunds when commercial billing is enabled.
When paid plans apply
This policy applies when PsySims paid checkout and billing are enabled. Before billing is enabled, no paid subscription is created merely by having a Free account or using a public PsySims resource.
Monthly and yearly subscriptions
Paid Teacher plans may be offered on monthly or yearly billing periods. Unless a checkout screen states otherwise, a paid subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until it is canceled. The current price, billing period, currency, and material purchase terms are shown before checkout.
Payment processing
PsySims plans to use Stripe to process paid checkout and billing. Stripe may collect payment-card and billing details directly and return transaction, customer, and subscription identifiers or status to PsySims. PsySims does not need to store full payment-card details to operate hosted checkout.
Cancellation
Monthly and yearly subscriptions may be canceled at any time to stop the next automatic renewal. Premium access continues through the last day of the billing period already paid for. No prorated refund is issued simply because a subscription is canceled before that paid period ends.
Refunds
Canceling a subscription does not by itself create a prorated refund for the unused remainder of a billing period already paid for. Refunds, credits, or other remedies will still be provided where required by applicable law or where PsySims separately agrees to provide one because of a billing error or other exceptional circumstance.
Failed or reversed payments
If a payment fails, is reversed, or cannot be renewed, Premium access may be limited or end after any applicable payment-recovery period. PsySims should not charge a new paid period unless the payment processor reports a successful charge or valid renewal state.
Plan and price changes
PsySims may change future plan features or prices. A change to a future renewal price should be disclosed before it applies to the next paid period as required by applicable law and the billing provider’s checkout or notification process.
Taxes and currency
Displayed prices may be subject to taxes or currency treatment shown at checkout. The checkout screen and payment processor determine the amount presented for the transaction before payment is submitted.
Billing questions
Questions about a PsySims charge, cancellation, or refund request can be sent through the PsySims Contact page. Do not send full payment-card numbers, passwords, or other secret credentials in a support request.
